Should I?

Should be a simple decision, yes? But take into consideration that I may have to pay some amount to keep the laptop when I graduate, instead of keeping the current one at no cost. Also consider that the current laptop is starting to crap out (it's reuiniting me with my old friend, the BSOD).


I planned to build a new computer with the earnings I could've (should've?) made this summer. A nice dual opteron system. 2-Opteron 252's with at least 2gb of ram. 2 Raptor74's in Raid-0, and 4 large disks (400gb's?) in Raid-5. finish that off wtih 2 6800GT's in SLi. But, it looks like I'll have to settle to building that after I graduate; I'll just have to suffice wtih a new video card (6800NU) for now. My Ti4200 is showing it's age. And maybe perhaps another gig of ram to bring the total up to 2gb. There used to be a sale on gigsticks; one gb for about 85$. Too bad that that's not going on anymore, and add to that, the stick that would've matched my memory isn't sold (?) anymore. I've also achieved a new overclock to 2412MHz (11.5x209) on this aging T'Bred, albeit it's at a 1.85v core. Up from 2083MHz (12.5x166) for a total oc of 350+MHz; not to shabby.
